Nigerian Content Day Celebration 2017


The 2017 Nigerian Content Day was celebrated in grand style in DeltaAfrik in conjunction with the Nigerian Society of Engineers Victoria Island Branch.

The event which took place on May 9, 2017 had in attendance the Vice President – Development, DeltaAfrik Engineering Limited, Tunde Elesin who ably represented the Host, Engr Akinwunmi Odumakinde, Managing Director DeltaAfrik Engineering Limited, The Executive Secretary of National Content Management Development Board (NCMDB) Engr. Simbi Wabote as the special guest of honour represented by Mr Tunde Adelana, Director of Evaluation & Monitoring NCMDB , The Hon. Commissioner, Trade and Investment, Bayelsa State, Barr. Kemela Okara, The Manager – Project Management, Gas Division NAPIMS – Engr. Chris Okoye, MNSE, The President, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Otis Anyaeji FNSE, represented by Engr. Uche Obiajulu, FNSE, Head – Nigerian Content / Learning & Development, DeltaAfrik Engineering Limited – Mr. Afolabi Davidson and the Chairman, Victoria Island Branch, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Rasheed Moyosore and other stakeholders

There was a Panel organized as part of the event lined up to celebrate the success of the Nigerian Content policy in the oil and gas industry both in policy and practice, during the national content week Themed “National Content; Achievement, Challenges & Sustainability in the face of dwindling oil prices”.

The Nigerian Society of Engineers Victoria Island Branch Chairman, Engr Moyosore honoured some members for their exceptional contributions to capacity building in the Oil and Gas sector of the Nigerian economy.
